POSSESIVE PRONOUNS


Possessive pronouns are pronouns that indicate ownership or possession. They are used to replace nouns and show that something belongs to someone. The possessive pronouns in English are as follows:

  1. Mine: Used to show that something belongs to the speaker. Example: "The book is mine."

  2. Yours: Used to show that something belongs to the person or people being spoken to. Example: "Is this pen yours?"

  3. His: Used to show that something belongs to a male. Example: "That is his car."

These pronouns can be used alone as possessives or followed by a noun to further specify the ownership.
